Hamilton’s Ferrari Challenge: Weight Loss Required to Fit in 2025 Car

Lewis Hamilton‘s biggest challenge at Ferrari might not be what you’d expect – it’s resisting Italy’s incredible food.

The seven-time world champion, who’s making waves with his shocking move to Ferrari, admits he’s already diving deep into Italian cuisine even before his first race in the famous red car.

“The honest truth is I’ve had already quite a few pizzas, but somehow I’ve lost weight,” Hamilton said with a laugh after Ferrari’s recent car unveiling. “Last week I had three pizzas. I love Italian food. I always have.”

It’s not his first run-in with Italian temptations. Hamilton remembers his early Mercedes days, when he and teammate Nico Rosberg couldn’t resist the local treats.

“We used to go out and get gelato every freaking night and we used to eat a lot of pizza,” he recalls.

His love affair with Italian food goes way back – all the way to his teenage racing days.

“I had this unbelievable lasagna which was made by my first mechanic, Luca del Fonte, and his wife’s mother,” Hamilton says. “They made me the most insane lasagna when I was 13 years old. And I never forgot about it.”

But now, with his Ferrari debut approaching, Hamilton knows he’ll need some serious self-control.

“I’m gonna have to watch my diet. That’s going to be hard,” he admits. “I’ve got to be careful. I can’t eat pizzas all year long, otherwise I won’t fit in the car.”

For a driver who’s known for his strict training regime and plant-based diet, Italy’s culinary delights might prove to be his toughest competitor yet.
