After a long time without wins, Mercedes suddenly bagged two victories in quick succession.
The team is heading to Hungary with high hopes, says Toto Wolff.
Wolff and Mercedes Optimistic for Hungary GP
George Russell and Lewis Hamilton both snagged wins recently, with Russell even starting on pole twice this season. “We go into the double header with momentum. We’ve made progress with the W15 in recent races, leading to big results in Austria and Silverstone.”
But Toto Wolff remains cautious. “We know our car isn’t ready to win every weekend yet. The team is working hard to improve performance so we can compete more consistently. This effort will continue over the next two races and until the summer break,” said the 52-year-old Austrian.
“The Hungaroring is different from recent tracks like Silverstone,” he added. “It has many tight and twisty sections, with only one main straight. There are some high-speed corners too, making it a good test for our car’s cornering speed improvements. We’re focused on doing our best this weekend and hope to keep up this positive trend.”
Fans might think it’s exciting to see how Mercedes performs next.
