Formula 1 2026: Red Bull Ford Finalizes Engine Lineup with Distinctive Sound

F1’s 2026 engines roar to life – hear them all for the first time!

The future of Formula 1 just got a lot louder. With Red Bull Ford’s engine hitting the track at Imola during Racing Bulls’ demo day, fans can finally hear what every 2026 power unit will sound like.

Red Bull Ford

This is a huge moment in F1 history – Red Bull will race with its very own engine for the first time ever, developed alongside Ford.

Their power unit has already completed its first real-world test, taking to the track during Racing Bulls’ demo day.

Several videos captured the occasion, giving us our first listen to how the new engine sounds.

Mercedes

Mercedes gave us an early Christmas present last December, teasing the sound of their 2026 engine.

The German manufacturer will power three customer teams when the new rules kick in – McLaren, Williams and Alpine.

Ferrari

Ferrari shared a clip of their engine firing up on social media, but they weren’t actually the first to reveal what the Italian power unit will sound like.

That honor went to Cadillac, who accidentally beat them to it by posting video from their shakedown with the Ferrari engine.

Honda

Honda was quick off the mark, becoming one of the first manufacturers to tease their 2026 power unit.

The Japanese brand went all in, hosting a special launch event in Tokyo.

Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll and engine guru Andy Cowell were both there to celebrate the occasion.

Audi

The German newcomers completed their first shakedown at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

This same track will later host F1’s first pre-season test.
