Final Tripleheader Stakes Millions for Formula 1 Teams

As the 2024 Formula One season nears its conclusion, teams are scrambling to gather as many points as possible in the last few races. With only three Grands Prix and a Sprint event left, the stakes are high, especially when it comes to prize money.

The exact amount each team will earn remains a secret, but last year, Red Bull Racing took home an estimated $140 million for winning, while Haas got around $60 million for finishing last.

Race to the Constructors’ Crown

McLaren currently leads with 593 points, followed by Ferrari with 557 and Red Bull with 544. A single race could change everything, especially in Las Vegas where McLaren’s lead could vanish. Ferrari has an edge since they don’t have a driver chasing the individual title.

Fans are on the edge of their seats as McLaren and Ferrari battle it out. McLaren is focused on the constructors’ title after missing out on the drivers’ championship with Lando Norris. Meanwhile, Ferrari hasn’t been in serious contention since Monaco.

Carlos Sainz mentioned his doubts about Qatar, stating, “that is not a Ferrari track at all.” Andrea Stella from McLaren emphasized their focus: “In terms of the Constructors’ Championship, I don’t think it changes anything because it was always our priority.”

Red Bull’s main goal is helping Max Verstappen clinch his fourth title against Norris. Their car has been strong post-summer break, so they’re optimistic about Verstappen’s chances. Anything else would be extra for them in 2024.

Midfield Mayhem

Haas aimed to beat VCARB for sixth place but faced challenges. They scored consistently in recent races thanks to Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg. However, Alpine leaped ahead with a double podium finish at Sao Paulo.

Now only five points separate Alpine (49), Haas (46), and VCARB (44). This tight race might go down to the wire in Abu Dhabi.

Aston Martin has struggled lately; they haven’t scored since Singapore when Fernando Alonso finished seventh. Lance Stroll hasn’t earned points since Hungary either. Yet, they still hold fifth place with a 37-point lead over Alpine. Could another chaotic weekend shake things up?

Fans might wonder if surprises await in these final races. What do you think will happen next?
