FIA Faces Challenge as Two Key Staff Members Depart from Motorsport Federation

Mohammed Ben Sulayem is back in the spotlight as two top FIA officials decide to leave. Luke Skipper and Jacob Bangsgaard have announced their departure, both seeking new adventures.

Their exit comes amid a flurry of activity surrounding their boss, Mohammed Ben Sulayem. Recently, he asked drivers in Singapore to tone down their language. Not long after, Max Verstappen got community service for using a bad word. Then, on Thursday, Ben Sulayem claimed the British press was treating him unfairly, which made some people raise their eyebrows.

Quick Exits from New Roles:

Skipper joined the FIA as director of communications in 2022. Bangsgaard became secretary-general for mobility in 2023 but had been with FIA Region I before that. He also worked with the FIA Foundation in London handling international relations.

Fans might wonder if these changes will shake things up at the FIA.

The motorsport federation hasn’t announced who will take over their roles yet. Maybe you have an idea?
