The FIA has officially stated that Red Bull Racing did not use any sneaky tricks to change the car’s ride height. They found no evidence of a ‘front bib adjuster’ being altered between qualifying and the race.
An FIA team visited Red Bull’s factory in Milton Keynes to check things out. They later declared, “This investigation concluded that no breach has taken place,” confirming their stance from the US Grand Prix in Austin.
Brown’s Firm Belief in Red Bull’s Guilt
Red Bull faced accusations from rivals about using a special bib to tweak ride height, with McLaren, led by Zak Brown, being particularly vocal. “You have to submit the drawings to the FIA, and all the teams have access. It’s an open source component. So anyone, every team, which is what we do, we look at, you can see it. So I think there was no denying that they have the ability to access the front bib from inside the car. That’s undisputed,” he insisted.
Despite these claims, the FIA quickly announced finding zero proof to back them up. The visit to Red Bull’s factory seemed like a move to show they were taking complaints seriously. Fans might wonder if this will finally put an end to all the chatter about rule-breaking.
Now, with everything checked and cleared, the motorsport federation considers this issue closed for good. What do you think about this decision?
