Ferrari’s Leclerc Hit by Costly Pit Lane Error

Charles Leclerc had a bit of an awkward moment while showing off Ferrari’s new racing gear for 2025. During what was supposed to be a smooth photo shoot with new teammate Lewis Hamilton, Leclerc managed to tear his racing suit.

“I tore the racing suit,” Leclerc admitted with a laugh in a behind-the-scenes video shared by Ferrari.

But the Monegasque driver had a pretty good excuse ready: “I ate too much during the winter break!”

He quickly added some insider knowledge to save face. “The racing suits used during photo shoots are actually tighter than normal, so we look a bit fitter on camera.”

The wardrobe malfunction happened during what should’ve been a simple reveal of next year’s racing suits, with both Leclerc and Hamilton modeling the new designs in a promotional video.

It’s been quite a month for Ferrari. The Italian team shocked the racing world by announcing they’d signed seven-time world champion Hamilton for 2025. The 40-year-old British driver’s arrival in Maranello was more like a rock star’s entrance than an F1 driver showing up for work.

Hundreds of passionate Ferrari fans lined the streets just to catch a glimpse of Hamilton. Even more packed around the famous Fiorano test track when he made his first appearance there.

The torn suit might’ve been embarrassing, but at least it gave fans a laugh – and showed that even F1’s top drivers aren’t immune to those awkward moments we all have sometimes.
