Ferrari had a tough time at the Austrian Grand Prix. Since their big win in Monaco, things have been rough.
In Spain and Austria, Ferrari was only the fourth fastest car, even slower than Mercedes. Despite Carlos Sainz getting on the podium, Vasseur said he was unhappy with how things went.
‘We Can Be Frustrated with Charles’
Vasseur mentioned that they could be frustrated with Charles because they had the potential for a better weekend and more points. Leclerc struggled all weekend. He messed up his last qualifying lap and got into a clash on the first lap of the race, finishing 12th.
Looking ahead to Silverstone, Vasseur hopes Ferrari can keep improving their car. He noted that new upgrades aren’t as powerful as before and need some time to work well. “FP1 and FP2 in Silverstone will be helpful,” he added.
Fans might think this news is disappointing but hopeful at the same time.
The team needs to sit down and figure out what went wrong so they can do better next time. What do you think?
