Ferrari F1 Team Announces Major Positive Development

Ferrari fans can breathe a sigh of relief. After being left out of last week’s Hot Wheels Formula 1 collection, the iconic Italian team is now getting its own special treatment from Mattel.

The toy giant just announced a major deal with Ferrari to create an entire line of Hot Wheels cars featuring the prancing horse.

It’s going to be pretty amazing for collectors. The collection will include everything from classic Ferraris to their latest high-tech machines, covering both racing cars and road vehicles.

The first batch hits stores this spring.

"We’re going to show the world our take on some of the finest rolling works of art ever made," says Roberto Stanichi, Hot Wheels’ executive VP. He’s confident his design team can do justice to Ferrari’s legendary cars.

This news comes right after Mattel’s F1 collection caused quite a stir last week. The initial Hot Wheels F1 lineup – which didn’t include Ferrari or Aston Martin – sold out almost instantly when pre-orders opened.

Fans crashed Mattel’s website trying to get their hands on the miniature race cars. They’re currently completely sold out, with no word yet on when more will be available.

For Ferrari enthusiasts who felt left out of the F1 collection, this new partnership might actually be an even better deal. Instead of just getting one F1 car, they’ll soon have access to Ferrari’s entire racing heritage in Hot Wheels form.
