Cardile Departs from Ferrari

“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Enrico Cardile is leaving the company, therefore relinquishing his role as Technical Director Chassis Area. After almost two decades with Ferrari, Cardile has handed in his notice and therefore, with immediate effect, and as an interim measure, the Chassis Area will be overseen by the Team Principal, Frederic Vasseur. Everyone at Scuderia Ferrari HP thanks Enrico for all his hard work over so many years,” reads the statement from the Italian Formula One team.

Cardile joined Ferrari back in 2005 to work on FIA GT Championship projects focusing on aerodynamics. By 2016, he had moved to the Formula One team as head of aerodynamics. In 2020, he became head of a new Performance Development Department and took charge of the chassis department in early 2021. By 2023, he was appointed technical director of chassis and aerodynamics.

Rumors are swirling that Lawrence Stroll might have lured Cardile away to Aston Martin . Fans might think this move could shake things up quite a bit! If true, he would take over as technical director after a mandatory gardening leave period. However, nothing official has been confirmed about this potential shift yet.
