Alonso Gets His Christmas Wish: A Brand New Aston Martin DBX S
Fernando Alonso just unwrapped the ultimate Christmas present – a shiny new Aston Martin straight from the dealership in Monaco.
The luxury car dealer shared the special moment on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of the F1 star’s festive surprise.
“A festive Christmas to remember for Fernando Alonso, as we just had the pleasure of delivering him his brand new Aston Martin DBX S! All the Aston Martin Monaco team wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season!” they wrote.
The two-time world champion seemed pretty thrilled with his new ride. His response? Just one word: “Outstanding.”
And outstanding it is. The Aston Martin DBX S isn’t your average SUV – it’s what they call the “absolute pinnacle of ultra-luxury SUV performance.”
This beast packs a whopping 727 horsepower.
It can hit a top speed of 193 miles per hour.
Want to go from zero to 200 km/h? It’ll get you there in just 11.4 seconds.
Of course, all that power comes with a hefty price tag. The starting price is around £210,000 (€240,000) – pocket change for an F1 star, but still an impressive Christmas gift.
But this isn’t the only Aston Martin in Alonso’s future. In 2026, he’ll get his hands on another special car – one designed by legendary F1 engineer Adrian Newey.
Looking ahead, Alonso feels confident about Aston Martin’s future in Formula 1, though he acknowledges there might be some growing pains.
“The factory is completed. The wind tunnel is brand new and completed and we’re using it,” Alonso explained. “We have Adrian Newey, Andy Cowell, Enrico Cardile. I mean, we have great people and great talent in the factory. We just need to put everything in place.”
The question is how long it’ll take for all these new pieces to come together.
“Facilities are new, people are just a few months into the system,” he said. “Whether it will be enough these few months or we need one full season to glue everything together, that’s the thing, I don’t know.”
For a team that’s made major investments in both facilities and top talent, the future looks bright – even if the results might take some time.
