The 2024 Formula 3 season ended with Leonardo Fornaroli clinching the championship for Trident after a dramatic last-corner pass on Christian Mansell. Now, Fornaroli is set to step up to Formula 2 next season.
Even though Fornaroli’s move at Parabolica during the Italian GP Feature Race didn’t impact the final standings due to Gabriele Mini’s disqualification, he still earned his title on track. He amassed 153 points in Formula 3 this season, securing two pole positions and seven podiums, despite not winning a single Grand Prix in 2025.
Invicta Announces F3 Champion
Fornaroli is the first driver confirmed by a Formula 2 team for the upcoming year. Since Trident doesn’t have a team in F2, he will join Invicta Racing. Invicta currently leads the Constructors’ Championship in F2 with drivers Gabriel Bortoleto and Kush Maini.
