F1 Sim Racing 2025: Official Calendar & Prize Pool Revealed

F1’s virtual racing championship is getting bigger and better, with a massive $750,000 prize pool up for grabs in 2025. The championship will feature 12 action-packed races spread across three intense weekends in early 2025.

While real-world F1 champion Max Verstappen won’t be hitting the virtual track, the competition is still stacked with talent. Sim racing veteran Jarno Opmeer is expected to be among the stars competing.

Current champion Frederik Rasmussen will be back to defend his title. He’ll face tough competition from Thomas Ronhaar, who came incredibly close to winning it all last year.

The virtual championship, running strong since 2017, will see all F1 teams represented on the grid.

Racing kicks off with a bang in January, featuring virtual versions of some of F1’s most exciting tracks. The first weekend will take drivers through Australia, China, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.

Weekend two shifts to some classic European circuits, with races at Britain’s Silverstone, Belgium’s legendary Spa, Verstappen’s home track Zandvoort, and America’s COTA.

The championship wraps up with a thrilling final weekend, as drivers battle it out in Mexico, Brazil, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.

It’s pretty amazing how closely the virtual calendar mirrors the real F1 season, giving fans a taste of F1 action months before the actual cars hit the track.

Each team will be looking to claim their share of what’s become one of esports’ most prestigious racing championships. The question is: can anyone stop Rasmussen from claiming back-to-back titles?
