F1 Rookie Confesses Jealousy Over Hadjar’s Red Bull Move

“It’s fantastic that our generation is conquering the top teams.” – Oliver Bearman

Oliver Bearman couldn’t hide his excitement about fellow young driver Isack Hadjar landing a coveted Red Bull Racing seat.

The 20-year-old Haas driver was thrilled for the French talent, seeing it as another victory for racing’s new wave of youngsters.

“I’m very happy for him. He’s shown he’s very talented, and it’s fantastic that our generation is conquering the top teams, like Kimi Antonelli with Mercedes,” Bearman told Gazzetta dello Sport.

But he didn’t shy away from admitting a touch of envy too.

“I have to say I’m also a little jealous that they can fight up there, but my time will come too,” he added with a smile.

The news came just before the Abu Dhabi season finale, capping off an exciting year for F1’s rising stars.

Red Bull Racing made it official that Hadjar will partner three-time world champion Max Verstappen starting in 2026. This creates a ripple effect, with current Formula 2 driver Arvid Lindblad stepping up to fill Hadjar’s spot at Racing Bulls.

Hadjar’s first taste of the top team

After getting his hands on the mighty RB21 for a test run, Hadjar couldn’t contain his excitement.

The young Frenchman praised how welcoming the Red Bull crew had been throughout his session. He also pointed out just how different the championship-contending car felt compared to the Racing Bulls VCarb 02 he’d been driving.

It’s another sign that F1’s next generation is ready to shake up the establishment.
