F1 News: Norris Responds to Boos, Hamilton Reflects on Brazil GP Failure

Lando Norris dominated the Brazilian Grand Prix with his seventh win of the season in a stunning drive at Interlagos. Young gun Kimi Antonelli grabbed his best-ever F1 result with a second-place finish, while Max Verstappen pulled off an incredible comeback from a pitlane start to snag third place.

The championship battle is heating up with just a few races left in the 2025 season.

Norris has been absolutely flawless all weekend in Brazil. He swept every session that mattered, taking the Sprint race win from pole position and collecting all eight points available.

This perfect performance has given him some breathing room in the championship standings.

He now leads his McLaren teammate by nine points and has stretched his advantage over Verstappen to 39 points.

The Dutchman had a weekend to forget in qualifying. For the first time in his career, Verstappen was knocked out in Q1 purely on pace – not because of penalties or technical issues.

His Red Bull teammate Yuki Tsunoda also failed to advance from the first qualifying session.

In a surprising twist, both Racing Bulls made it all the way to Q3, with rookie Isack Hadjar starting an impressive fifth on the grid.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc bounced back from recent struggles to qualify third behind Norris and Antonelli.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton‘s difficult weekend continued as he was eliminated in Q2 for the second straight day. The seven-time world champion couldn’t find the pace when it mattered most.

Interestingly, Q3 featured no world champions at all, with Fernando Alonso also missing the cut by finishing 11th.

The Brazilian weather threatened to add another layer of drama to the race, with changing conditions keeping teams on their toes throughout the weekend.

Piastri’s championship hopes took a major hit during the Sprint when he lost control of his McLaren while exiting Turn 3 on the sixth lap, ending his race early and missing out on valuable points.

The racing action kicked off at 2:00 PM local time (5:00 PM BST / 6:00 PM CET) with perfect conditions for Norris to convert his advantage into another win.
