Da Costa Secures Third Consecutive E-Prix Victory in Portland, Frijns Claims Second Place

Antonio Felix da Costa secured a top-five spot in the Formula E World Championship after winning the Portland E-Prix. He won both races in the USA, with Robin Frijns finishing second and Mitch Evans taking third.

Da Costa’s Winning Streak

Da Costa clinched his third consecutive win, seizing victory in the first Portland race after Evans got penalized and Nick Cassidy spun out. On lap 21, Da Costa took the lead and held off Frijns to secure his second win of the weekend.

Earlier in the race, Da Costa’s front wing was damaged from contact with Edoardo Mortara, who later got a puncture. A brief safety car period followed due to debris on the track. Afterward, Frijns led briefly but lost it to Da Costa and Pascal Wehrlein.

Evans used his second attack mode but dropped back before outsmarting Wehrlein and Frijns again. When Evans’ power boost ended, Frijns reclaimed second place, leaving Evans in third while Da Costa celebrated another victory. Fans might think this is an exciting turn of events!

Championship leader Cassidy had a tough time in Portland, scoring no points and seeing his lead shrink. Now he’s only 12 points ahead of teammate Evans after finishing P19 and P13.
