Charles Leclerc has been called to the stewards after an incident in the pits during the final practice session at the Singapore Grand Prix. Ferrari reportedly broke a procedure during this session.
Update: The stewards have given their decision.
Leclerc was not happy during FP3 in Singapore. He wasn’t satisfied with his Ferrari and said on the radio, “Let’s focus on driving instead of focusing on [tyre] scrub and whatsoever. To be honest about the feeling, the feeling is *****. We are very slow." He finished fifth fastest, behind Lando Norris. On Friday, they were much closer together. But now, Leclerc’s day might get worse as he’s been summoned to the stewards.
Why has Leclerc been called to the stewards in Singapore?
During free practice 3, it was observed that the tyre pressures of Set 503 on Car 16 were changed while the car was stationary in the pit-stop position. This adjustment did not follow the procedures set out in TD003N 2. g. ii., according to Jo Bauer, FIA Formula One Technical Delegate.
Fans might think this news is quite surprising considering Ferrari’s usual attention to detail.
Leclerc’s frustration is understandable given his performance and now this issue adds more stress .
What do you think about this situation? Should there be stricter rules or more flexibility?
