Carlos Sainz Shocks with Multi-Year Contract at Williams

Carlos Sainz will drive for Williams in 2025.

He is leaving Ferrari after this season to join the British team and become Alexander Albon‘s new teammate.

Sainz has signed a multi-year contract with Williams. This move was expected since February when he announced his departure from Ferrari, where Lewis Hamilton will take his place. Team boss James Vowles had been eyeing Sainz as his top choice, and on Monday, it became official.

Why Williams?

Sainz was also considering other teams like Sauber (soon to be Audi) and Alpine. However, he decided on Williams. This means Logan Sargeant, the American driver, will leave at the end of this season.

Fans might think this is a surprising choice!
