Brad Pitt’s Racing Skills Revealed: Insights from Hamilton’s Coaching Session

Lewis Hamilton and Brad Pitt are teaming up for an F1 movie coming out in June 2025. The actor, who doesn’t have much driving experience, has been seen on the track during several Grand Prix events to film scenes for the movie. Mercedes even customized a car for Pitt, but many wonder: can a 60-year-old really race?

Hamilton shared that he gave Pitt some coaching lessons to help him get better at racing. As a seven-time World Champion, Hamilton is no stranger to helping new drivers.

Brad Pitt’s Racing Experience:

“We [Hamilton and Pitt] went to a track in L.A. I took him out and sat in the passenger seat, and he drove. I used to be a driving coach when I was younger. It was a way of making some money part-time whilst I was racing. So I’ve sat with God knows how many non-racing drivers. You can tell immediately the good ones, the bad ones,” Hamilton told Esquire.

Luckily for the filmmakers, Hamilton had good news: “Straight away, he was on it. You could tell he has it—it’s in his DNA. He’s just not been able to hone in on it like we have, but he’s got big potential,” Hamilton confirmed.

Pitt was also seen on track during the Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone. Although he didn’t disrupt the race itself, he managed to complete a few laps and capture key footage for the film .

Fans might think it’s cool to see an actor like Pitt taking on such a challenging role.

This collaboration between Hamilton and Pitt is creating quite a buzz. While some might doubt Pitt’s ability to race at his age, others find it exciting to watch him take on this new challenge.
