Bearman Reveals Feeling ‘Dejected’ After Saudi Arabian GP Competition

Oliver Bearman has had a wild season in Formula 2, sitting 13th with just 34 points.

After stepping in for Carlos Sainz at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, he finished P7 and impressed everyone by beating Lewis Hamilton.

Bearman then joined Haas for some practice sessions and did so well that they signed him for the 2025 season. But he only got to race once in 2024, which was both exciting and disappointing for him.

Bearman describes ‘mind-blowing’ weekend in Jeddah

In an interview with The Times, Bearman shared his feelings about that weekend: “I flew to Jeddah for an F2 race but ended up driving in the F1 Grand Prix because Sainz was hospitalized. I was just 18 when I got the call; it was unreal.”

“Suddenly I was racing against my heroes like Hamilton, Alonso, and Verstappen,” he added. “When I finished seventh, it felt amazing. I couldn’t believe it.”

Fans might think it’s a bummer he won’t race again soon.

Though his debut was fantastic, Bearman felt sad knowing he’d have to wait before getting another shot at F1 glory.

But he’ll be back on track with Haas in 2025.

What do you think about Bearman’s journey?
