Charles Leclerc narrowly beat Sergio Perez in the second free practice at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Only 0.006 seconds separated Leclerc and Perez, with Leclerc setting a fast lap on soft tires with just 12 minutes left in FP2. Lewis Hamilton was close behind, just 0.066 seconds off, making the top three drivers very close.
Leclerc’s result was impressive since he crashed in FP1 and missed half of it. Ferrari mechanics fixed his car before FP2, but steering issues forced him to come back for more repairs. Despite this, he managed to be the fastest.
