Audi Reveals 2026 F1 Car Launch Date: Fans Invited to Join

Audi has big plans for its Formula 1 debut, scheduling a two-day extravaganza to unveil its first-ever F1 car. The launch will happen in Berlin on January 20 and 21, with the second day open for fans to get an up-close look at the new machine.

The German automaker has also revealed its official team name: Audi Revolut F1 Team. British bank Revolut will serve as the title sponsor as drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto take to the grid.

“Today, our project takes on its official identity,” said team principal Jonathan Wheatley.

“The Audi Revolut F1 Team name is a symbol of the combined strength of our teams in Germany, UK and Switzerland, together with our partners. It provides a banner under which we all unite as we build towards 2026.”

Wheatley emphasized how meaningful this milestone is for everyone involved. “This is a crucial milestone that energizes the entire project and makes our long term ambition tangible for everyone involved.”

## Honoring Sauber’s Legacy

Audi isn’t starting completely from scratch—they’re taking over from the Sauber team that’s been on the F1 grid since the 1990s.

Sauber Motorsport AG will be renamed Audi Motorsport AG as part of the transition. The team’s tech center in Bicester, UK, is also getting a new name: the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK.

But Audi isn’t forgetting where it came from. The company will keep the names Sauber Holding AG and Sauber Technologies AG, preserving the legacy of the Swiss team that’s been part of F1 for decades.

This marks one of the biggest automotive brand entries into Formula 1 in recent years, with Audi clearly sparing no expense to make a splash. The two-day launch event suggests they’re serious about capturing both media attention and fan interest right from the start.
