Aron Secures Pole Position in F2, Antonelli Achieves Top Five Finish

Paul Aron clinched pole position for the F2 feature race, with Gabriel Bortoleto in second and Isack Hadjar in third. O’Sullivan will start on pole for the sprint race after qualifying tenth.

Yellow flags appeared during F2 qualifying, turning into a red flag when Victor Martins’ car stopped and needed removal. After a few minutes, the session resumed.

Good day for Antonelli

As usual, everyone focused on Andrea Kimi Antonelli. The Italian won the Formula 2 feature race in Hungary and is rumored to be filling Lewis Hamilton‘s vacant seat. In Spa qualifying, he secured the fifth-fastest time while his teammate Oliver Bearman, who is set to join Haas, managed only fifteenth.

The session was mostly uneventful except for the red flag. Unlike the dramatic end seen in F3 qualifying earlier, this one finished calmly. Aron clocked the fastest time to start first in the feature race; Bortoleto came second and Hadjar third. As always, Saturday’s sprint race will have a reversed grid.

Fans might think it’s exciting to see new talents emerging so strongly.

In racing news like this, anything can happen—one moment you’re leading; next moment there’s a red flag!
