Alpine Faces New Challenges: ‘I’m Hugely Disappointed’

Alpine had a tough time at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly qualified at the back of the grid, and another car broke down during the race.

Gasly was not happy with how things went for the team.

Gasly’s Frustration: ‘Too Many Problems’

This season has been rough for Alpine. They started slow, and then Gasly and Ocon crashed into each other in Monaco, drawing negative attention. Despite some upgrades that seemed promising, Hungary was a disaster as both drivers struggled, and Gasly had to retire his car.

“I’m really disappointed,” said Gasly. “We have too many issues right now. Today it was hydraulics; yesterday it was strategy; last weekend it was the gearbox, so I didn’t even race. I know we’re much better than this. The team is stronger than this, but we need to be more on top of things because we’re missing our chances.”

Gasly expects more from himself and his team. “The last two races have been awful with all these problems,” he continued. “There’s potential in the car, but we need more performance to fight for positions.”

Fans might think it’s time for Alpine to make some big changes if they want to improve.

It’s clear that something needs to change fast if Alpine wants better results. What do you think?
