Alonso Criticizes Lawson: ‘His Career is on the Line’

Fernando Alonso and Liam Lawson had a tense moment during the race in Austin, leaving Alonso quite upset. He called Lawson an “idiot” over the radio and stood by his words afterward.

Lawson has just six races to make a mark. In his first sprint race, he didn’t hold back and went head-to-head with Alonso, who was not amused by this aggressive move.

Alonso’s Frustration with Lawson

Alonso shared more about the incident with DAZN, expressing his displeasure. “A bit of action, probably too much,” he remarked. “Liam has six races to prove a lot, and it is probably not the best approach he is taking,” he added, clearly unimpressed.

The clash resulted in Alonso being cut off by Lawson, which allowed Esteban Ocon to overtake him as well. “But hey, his career is at stake, not mine,” Alonso said heatedly. Fans might think that Alonso’s frustration is understandable given the circumstances.

What do you think? Do you agree with how Alonso reacted?
